I own a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV WT equipped with the OEM soft tonneau cover. The original cover and its warranty replacement have both failed in the same way. The cover material appears to shrink over time so that the side flaps will no longer reach and stay attached to the Velcro along the bed rails. On 1/20/26, we purchased a ‘24 Chevy Silverado EV from a Chevrolet dealership. 2 days later, on 1/22/26, while my husband was driving on the interstate, the tonneau cover partially detached and flew backwards lifting upwards and flapping violently. On Star Telematics Module is failed and on backorder and no ETA according to dealership and ONSTAR. This is a safety issue as GPS is unavailable, SOS is unavailable, Cannot Locate Vehicle if lost or stolen. The company is very slow in response and this seems to be a global known issue.
